Here are my photos of the Orange-billed Nightingale Thrush that was found by Eric Ripma in Spearfish Canyon, at the Iron Creek junction. Go to his link for the story of how he found it. Quite an amazing bird to be found in South Dakota. It is easy enough to hear but difficult to see let alone photograph. These are the best I could get after two mornings (July 17-18, 2010) of following the calls of the bird up and down the Iron Creek canyon. Canon Mark IIN, 500 f4 lens with 1.4 tc.
