The terns are foraging in the marsh and in Hipple Lake. They are also carrying
food back to the island by the boat ramp, so there is probably a nest somewhere
there.
I saw three Least Terns at one point in time this morning.
A Least Bittern was calling in the marsh while I was photographing Least Terns.
Some have a black bill tip.
Others don't.
Juvenile Broad-winged Hawk
White throat with thin middle stripe and lack of pale wing crescents
rules out juvenile Red-shouldered Hawk.
