Camping in the Modoc National Forest,
California
August 31, 2019
An Acmon Blue, not a lifer but I like the image, it is perched
on a tendril from the seed head of a Mountain Mahogany.
Lifer butterfly, a Tailed Copper.
And another lifer, Lorquin's Admiral.
It is not often that a Pygmy Nuthatch will show in the open, in nice light, nice
pose, and stay long enough to get some shots. It happened this morning.
Same with the Mountain Chickadee. It landed on the moss
covered branch long enough to get a few shots.
A Cassin's Vireo playing "I see you".
