A Trip to Saskatchewan, Canada
June 2014
I spent a few days in the Cypress Hills area
of western Saskatchewan then drove east to visit some grasslands in the area of
Chaplin.
I ended the trip with a few days in the Duck Mountain Provincial Park in eastern
Saskatchewan. It was a very wet time, rain almost every day.
I had hoped for more birds in the boreal forest of Duck Mountain. Although I
found Blackburnians and Chestnut-sided to be fairly common, I only
found one Mourning Warbler and Cape May Warbler. No Black-throated Green,
Bay-breasted, Connecticut, Canada, or any other warbler species I needed photos
of.
