Planetary Photography
Planetary photography requires much more focal length than my
500mm lens.
I am using a Celestron SCT 8 inch reflector with Televue 2.5 Powermate
and a Zwo ASI 120 MC-S camera. Video is recorded and the best frames selected
and stacked.
My main problem now is the planets are generally too low in the sky for at least
the next few years.
Jupiter
Jupiter and 3 moons. From left to right, Europa, Jupiter, Ganymede, and Io.
Saturn
Mars
The Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, December 2020.
Jupiter's moons Europa and Io and Saturn's Rhea are visible too.
