Some Photos from the Ajo, Arizona Area
September 25, 2019
A Common Ground Dove on the green at the golf course.
A Dunlin has showed up at the ponds, very rare
here, I've only seen one other here before.
I saw this strange cloud a few days ago. A little research on the web and I
learned
that this is a pileus. A definition from Wikipedia: A pileus, Latin for "cap",
also
called scarf cloud or cap cloud, is a small, horizontal, lenticular cloud
appearing above a cumulus or cumulonimbus cloud.
One of many Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes I've been finding on the roads at
night.
I looked under an old garbage can at the Dennison Picnic Area and
found this juvenile Western Banded Gecko, regenerating a tail.
