Some Photos from Ajo, Arizona
November 7, 2019
Yesterday I saw this Ash-throated Flycatcher catch a large walking stick insect.
I have never seen any bird catch one of these before. I'm not sure if the
flycatcher ate
it or dropped it, but when it finally flew off the stick insect was gone.
Light rain was falling from these clouds at sunset but
evaporating before it reached the ground, known as virgo.
A Hermit Thrush at the golf course.
This was actually taken last summer but I just got around to reprocessing it.
The Blue
Horsehead Nebula in Scorpius is a large but very faint reflection nebula.
The Iris Nebula, taken last month here in Arizona.
I think this was 79 ninety-second exposures stacked.
