One of my favorite galaxies, NGC 4565 (the Needle Galaxy) but this time
taken with the C8. It does not get high enough to shoot till after midnight.
NGC 4565 is an edge-on spiral galaxy about 30 to 50 million light years away in
the constellation Coma Berenices. It is much larger than our galaxy.
Another of my favorite galaxies, M104 also known as the Sombrero
Galaxy, with the C8. I was up till 3 AM with this one.
Two of the Leo Triplets. With the C8 I cannot get all three of the
galaxies in the field. These are M65 and M66.
Here's M65 cropped out of the image.
The Rosette Nebula is far too large to fit into the frame at 1200mm focal
length, but this is what the center of the nebula looks like.
