The Orion Nebula fills the frame when using the C8. I decided to try
it anyway and produce an image that doesn't overexpose the Trapezium and
I think this works. The Trapezium is so bright that I can produce this with 8
second exposures.
One can see the four stars deep in the center of the nebula.
Here's some information from Wikipedia:
The Trapezium is a relatively young star cluster that has formed directly out of
the parent nebula.
They are within 1.5 light years of each other and are responsible for much
of the
illumination of the surrounding nebula. The Trapezium is most readily
identifiable by the
asterism of four relatively bright stars for which it is named.
M109, the Vacuum Cleaner Galaxy. I cannot find anything about how it got this
name.
It is a large galaxy, containing over one trillion stars and is very
distant, estimated at over 80 million light years.
I got more images of the Whirlpool Galaxy and added everything together.
Same with Thor's Helmet, I added another 1/2 hour of exposure to what I had
taken earlier.
