New Photos from the Ajo Area
February 7, 2020
This is a caterpillar of the Calleta Silkmoth. I have only seen one as an adult
and this is the first time I've seen the caterpillar. The species is even more
striking as a caterpillar than the adult. Here's a
LINK to the adult.
I dug out this old file of the Rho Ophiuchus region and did some more
processing.
My goal was to lighten up the dust clouds around Antares without making
the rest of the photo too bright or washed out. I think it looks pretty
good, certainly better than before. It will be in position for photography again
in April.
Another Black-throated Sparrow, this time on Ocotillo.
