More photos from the Ajo, AZ area
December 6, 2019

Since I have had no opportunities for astrophotography, I have been re-working some of my
older photos. Here's a new version of the Andromeda Galaxy, I think it shows more color.

American Snout. I have many photos of this butterfly species but I
don't think I have any of it nectaring on Condalia.

And not many with the wings spread, they nearly always perch with wings closed.

A winter plumaged Black-tailed Gnatcatcher. I have never
photographed one with so much brown on the back.

A cooperative Loggerhead Shrike.

Sonoran Metalmark, perfectly posed.

This is one of five Harris's Hawks I saw at the school a few days ago. One had gotten itself
trapped in a net covered cage, so I had to get it out. This one was watching
the whole affair, along with the other three.  All five then flew off together.
