More photos from the Ajo, AZ area
April 5, 2020
Here is a new flower for me, Bristly Calico, Langloisia setosissima.
It is in the Phlox family. I found quite a few in one area, but it
seems to be very localized.
Just a Common Checkered-Skipper, but it is a
pale variant. I liked the photo on this aster.
Another variant, at first I thought I had a new species. It looked very
much like a Marine Blue but I have never seen one with these white chevron
markings. My field guide does show it though, calling it a pale variant.
