Photos from New Mexico State Parks
September 2017
I thought these clouds were interesting enough to photograph. At Clayton Lake
State Park, New Mexico.
Male Bushtit at Santa Rosa Lake State Park. Lots of them here, big flocks.
A Crissal Thrasher that was surprisingly cooperative.
Juniper Titmouse
A very shy Sage Thrasher, could not get it to come out in the open.
This mostly ID's as a Desert Grassland Whiptail, but it is not supposed to be
here at Santa Rosa Lake State Park, according to range maps.
So, for now I will leave it as an unidentified whiptail, possibly a hybrid or
intergrade. Whiptails are notorious for that.
No Pinyon Jays yet, just Woodhouse's Scrub-Jays.
