More photos from Cave Creek, Chiricahua Mountains

I found this at Turkey Creek Crossing, a new flower for me. It is in the morning glory family, Scarletcreeper or Redstar (Ipomoea hederifolia). The leaf shape is unique.

Chiricahua Leopard Frog. I've seen this particular frog several times, by a small pool in a canyon. The pool is only a few feet across and maybe 3 feet deep. I had to wait a long time for it to come to the surface. This a federally listed threatened species.

The Ringtail is a regular visitor now. Between the nectar bats
and this Ringtail, I'm going through a lot of sugar water. I don't mind though.

My best shot yet of a Hooded Skunk, in the South Fork of Cave Creek.
I've seen several in the area and one in my campsite.

This is probably the Striped Tail or Devil’s Scorpion, Vaejovis spinigerus, but there are many species restricted to isolated mountain ranges in Arizona and this could be one of them. I have no keys to the other species. I found it on the Silver Peak Trail, under a rock.
