My lifer butterfly, a Dorantes Longtail. At the Paton Center for

A pair of Gulf Fritillaries at the Paton Center for Hummingbirds.
Yesterday morning I went to Empire Gulch and it was so quiet I knew something
was up.
Here's the culprit, a young Cooper's Hawk on the hunt.
I was doing some night driving to see what I could find, and came
across this very young Western Diamondback Rattlesnake.
Only two rattles, I suppose the snake was about 10 inches long.
