Merriam's Kangaroo Rat. This little animal has proved very elusive. I used a night vision scope to see when it comes out, if I use a flashlight, it just dives back into the hole. I have to prefocus on the spot and when I see it come out, shoot.
Of the six photos I got, only these two are sharp. I will keep trying, I'm getting its pattern figured out, it has three burrow complexes and moves between them.
