Saguaro Lake, looking for the Prairie Warbler
January 17, 2018

A adult male Prairie Warbler, probably about the last bird I would expect to see in the desert.
This one is apparently wintering at Saguaro Lake, many birders are coming to see it.

Prairie Warbler

It has caught in inch worm. I wish the light had been better on this one.

I think this is my best shot as far as image quality goes.

I can never pass up a Cactus Wren on cactus. Taken at the Usery Regional Park visitor center.
I was looking for Peach-faced Lovebirds (or Rosy-faced Lovebirds
in the newer field guides) but did not see any. They are feral parrots
that have established a population in the Phoenix area.
