Photos in the Ajo, AZ area.
December 17, 2017
I shot some more photos of the Western White-throated Woodrat.
It is getting used to me now and pays no attention to the flashlight.
I clipped the tail on the Kit Fox, it was too close, so I cropped it for a
portrait.
Two Javelina from a small herd I flushed while walking an arroyo during the Ajo
Christmas Bird Count.
Today I came across four Western Bluebirds in a park in Ajo. I managed to get
fairly close.
This one was very close but unfortunately on a fence and not a nice perch like
the two above.
I continue to gather images of the Horsehead Nebula. I cull them hard, only
keeping the best. I'm up to 82 minutes of exposure now.
This didn't come out as well as I had hoped. It is the Northern Trifid, a small
nebula in the constellation Perseus. It appears to be another one that requires
a lot more exposure time.
