Photos from the Buenos Aires National
Wildlife Refuge, AZ
April 1, 2018
Walking in the Arivaca Creek today, I saw four White-nosed Coatis in a
cottonwood. It appears that they have built nest platforms in the tree. Anyway,
I was happy to finally get some decent photos of Coatis.
Coming down....
Common-Streaky Skipper, lifer butterfly.
I've seen Antelope Jackrabbits a few times, but the numbers are
high this spring and I have been getting some photos. These are impressive
looking
hares, huge ears and legs. They can really run.
Stretching....
The only image I got in really nice light, but it was farther away, so not as
detailed.
A very early Brown-crested Flycatcher. According to
Ebird, this is the first reported in Arizona this spring.
