South Llano River State Park, near Junction, Texas
Black-capped Vireo, wet from bathing in the water at a birding blind.
Black-capped Vireo
Golden-cheeked Warbler, not the greatest shot but the best I'm going to get on
this trip.
Cave Swallow, I had no photos of this species, wish the eye was shiny.
White-eyed Vireo, very common here.
LeConte's Sparrow. I was surprised to see this bird in habitat that isn't
typical.
I checked the park's Bird List and they have no records. The park naturalist
will add it to the list.
Yellow-throated Vireo
The best Painted Bunting photo I have taken, in my opinion.
American Lady. Might as well just delete my other ones, they don't get any
better than this!
Red Satyr, lifer butterfly.
Vesta Crescent, lifer butterfly (I've probably seen these before but I haven't
been doing much butterfly
identification and photography until the few last years. This species is very
common in the south).
