Not a very good photo of Bendire's Thrasher, but a good bird to see. I've only
seen 2 or 3 before this. At the Thrasher Spot west of Buckeye, AZ.
Western Pygmy-blue. This species is the smallest butterfly in North America and
one of the smallest in the world.
About 1/2 inch across, it is hard to photograph at 720mm focal length
handheld, and I had to back up quite a
distance to get it into focus. So, this is a big crop of the photo I took of a
tiny butterfly.
