All of these were taken in the small patch of mallow, a short
distance from the Scamp, same place as yesterday.
Unidentified Hemipteran
Unidentified species of ground nesting bee
Lifer Butterfly, a Ceraunus Blue
Ceraunus Blue, view of underside of wing
Gray Hairstreak, I was lucky to catch it with the proboscis curled.
.
This hairstreak is so worn it is difficult to ID with certainty. It could be
a Juniper Hairstreak but there are no junipers anywhere near here.
It is most likely a Leda Ministreak, food plant is mesquite, and the markings
that are still visible match up pretty well.
