Some Photos from Ajo and Barry Goldwater Air
Force Range Area
March 1, 2014
Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, on the road into Ajo. I estimate it to be about
4 ft. long.
I couldn't get it to coil up for photos, all it wanted to do was get away.
Here it is going over the bank at the edge of the road.
While eating my lunch on the tailgate of the truck at the Barry Goldwater Range,
I noticed this guy looking around from its hole.
Another shot, I didn't know what it was till I got back to the camper and looked
it up in my herp book. It is a Desert Iguana.
It ran off aways, stopped here, then went down another hole. It is about 14
inches long, I measured the space it occupied after it ran.
