More Photography of Nectar Bats
September 28, 2018
To take these images, I use a Cactus Laser Trigger LV5 connected to a Canon 7D
Mark II
camera, Canon Speedlite 600 EX II-RT flash, Sigma 35mm f1.4 lens, mounted
on tripod about 2 ft. away from the feeder. Settings: 1/250th second (the
cameras maximum
shutter sync speed for flash), f5.6, ISO 400, manual focus on the edge of the
hummingbird feeder.
Photos like this are pretty easy.
Photos like this are nearly impossible without the laser trigger and a wide
angle lens.
