Some photos from Sunny Flats Campground and
surrounding area, Chiricahua Mountains, Arizona

Last night I set up my laser trigger. It is a real
pain to get everything
working, but once it is working, it works great. I can leave the setup
unattended and go look for other interesting night creatures while it
photographs
bats for me. Mexican Long-tongued Bat above.
Mexican Long-tongued Bat. I need to figure out a
system to get more shots
like this, instead of the usual "coming into the hummingbird feeder" shot.
Mexican Long-tongued Bat
Lesser Long-nosed Bat, the best flight shot I've ever got of this species.
This female Black Widow spider has set up a home in the trailer hitch of the
Scamp.
She is going to be in for a rude awakening when the day comes that I hitch up again.
Here she comes down her web.
Unknown species of spider that has set up on the other end of the Scamp.
Now that I can leave the bat photography setup to run on its own, I can
walk around and look for other night creatures. I still need to find a
Western Spotted Skunk and a Hog-nosed Skunk, but all I saw last
night was this Striped Skunk.
Some unknown species of beetle in a globemallow flower, with other insects.
