Some photography around Ajo
October 9, 2018

From last night, the Helix Nebula. I am going to shoot another
hour or so of this tonight and see if I can get enough photons to
really pull out more detail of this beautiful nebula.

The Deer Lick group, includes Stephen's Quartet in the upper right. These are
small and faint, but I needed something to shoot while waiting for the
Helix Nebula to get up high enough.

I found another Couch's Spadefoot in McGrady Wash. The hardest thing about
shooting these little toads is getting them to hold still. If I try to move
them, they struggle, get away, and get covered in sand and dirt.
I'm going to catch one, clean it up, and put it in a more controlled setting.
Maybe tomorrow.

Couch's Spadefoot.
