A Few New Herp Photos from the Ajo Area
October 30, 2018

This morning I found this freshly killed Common Kingsnake on the highway.
I've never seen one before and would prefer to see a live
one, but it was in pretty good shape for photos.

Tonight I was out walking around look for snakes or whatever else I could find, when
I saw something move in a rodent burrow. I waited a while and pretty soon it
came back out, a juvenile Western Banded Gecko. I have seen
these once before, I think these photos are better though.

It did not like the light and would retreat when I shined the brightest beam on it.
