Lesser Nighthawks and an F-16
October 16, 2018

This afternoon, just before sunset, migrating Lesser Nighthawks descended
on the ponds of Lake Ajo and were feeding on the midges, there
must have been over 100 of them swarming around the area. I was
too busy trying to get photos to count them but it would have been
impossible anyway. When the sun went down I was checking the photos on the
camera and realized I had been shooting a f7.1 when I should have been at f5.6.
Result, not as sharp as they would have been with higher shutter speed. Operator error.

Lesser Nighthawk

An F-16 (that what they look like on the internet anyway), one
of a pair that was constantly flying over my camper this afternoon.
