A New Flower and a Few Other Photos
October 15, 2018
Arizona Caltrop, Kallstroemia grandiflora. I don't think
I've ever seen this before and if I did, I have no photos, until now.
I found a good number of them in flower but some were past prime.
Desert Millipedes are everywhere this fall. I suppose this one is about 4 inches
long.
Red-spotted Toad tadpoles.
A colorful, rather striking grasshopper that came to my black light.
According my insect guide, it is a Creosote Grasshopper, which makes
perfect sense, as there is creosote everywhere.
