More Photos in
the Ajo, AZ Area
November 30, 2018
A rarity in the Sonoran Desert, a Virginia Rail at Highway Tank.
I first saw this rail yesterday but got better photos today.
A Common Side-blotched Lizard. Probably the most common lizard in the area, but
this one is showing lots of colors and the Emery Rock Daisies add some more
color to the image. Even got a catchlight in the eye, difficult to do with
lizards.
Black-throated Sparrow on cholla.
Comet 46P/Wirtanen (2018) again, I reworked the images and I think this version
is much better.
There are a couple of small, faint galaxies visible below the comet.
Today I finally relocated the Red-breasted Sapsucker at the golf course.
Still don't have the nice photos I want, so will have to keep trying.
Red-breasted Sapsucker, or is it a hybrid Red-breasted/Red-naped?
