This is cropped more than I would like, but it is still the best Thick-billed
Kingbird
image I have. I got some images of one in San Diego last winter but they were
all even
further away and high in the trees. I will have to try this one again with the
500 f4 and
1.4 teleconverter, that will give me 700mm focal length instead of the 400mm I
took this
with. The kingbird likes this perch.
Another tough bird to photograph well, a Brown-crested Flycatcher. They
like to stay in the sticks and branches and never hold still for long.
