Astrophotography in the Ajo, AZ area
March 29, 2019

M63, the Sunflower Galaxy, is a spiral galaxy in the northern constellation of Canes Venatici.

M104, the Sombrero Galaxy. I've done this before but longer exposures are helping.
I'd like to get more time on both of these galaxies. M104 is a lenticular
galaxy in the constellation Virgo about 31,100,000 light years from Earth.

I stayed up until 2 AM to get this one. Centaurus A, a large and bright galaxy, but it only
rises to about 15°  above the southern horizon. Considering the low elevation of this
(shooting through more atmosphere), it turned out very well, I think. Centaurus A is
located in the constellation of Centaurus. Centaurus A is located approximately
4° north of Omega Centauri.
