Pipevine Swallowtail landing on a Ocotillo flower.
My best West Coast Lady and it won't get much better than this.
For once, then entire wingspread is in focus and sharp, so are the antennae.
My best underwing shot, this could get better in the future. These butterflies
usually don't sit still too long so I have to keep chasing them from one perch
to the next.
Spotted Towhee at Darby Wash. I saw two this time.
A Black-throated Sparrow feeding on the ground. I have lots of
photos of this species on perches, but very few on the ground.
