Galaxies
February 26
, 2019

With the longer exposures I can now shoot, color is easier to tease out of the galaxies.
These are the Leo Triplets, which I've shot many times but I think this is one
of the best I have managed. The galaxies look small in the image but these
galaxies are separated by hundreds of thousand of light
years. Hundreds of billions of stars in each one.

M106 and companions. There are at least 6 smaller
galaxies (actually just more distant thus appearing smaller).
