Another Gray Vireo at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument
Still trying for really nice photos of the Red-breasted Sapsucker, but it is not
cooperative.
This Ash-throated Flycatcher was cooperative!
This morning I found two Long-eared Owls in the same tree. Here's one of
them, trying to stay out of sight and doing a good job of it.
Here's the other, flying along the bottom of the arroyo.
Under a mesquite tree, I found two of these Bupestrid beetles dead. This is
Hippomelas
sphenicus, same genus as Hippomelas planicauda that I
photographed last fall.
