Getting Caught Up With Photos
December 30, 2018

Among a flock of Sage Sparrows last week, I was pretty sure I had spotted
one with very little streaking on the back. I didn't even know
I had photographed it until today. A possible Bell's Sparrow.
See this LINK for more information on this species.

The sparrow has a strong malar mark too.

From a few nights back, when it was still warm. I didn't think I had
captured anything very good but this one turned out
reasonably sharp. Merriam's Kangaroo Rat, airborne.

Today I found a flock of American Pipits right next to the road.
Unfortunately, the light wasn't too good, a bright background
with the bird in the shade. It's been a long time since I've been
able to get this close to an American Pipit.
