Some photos from Madera Canyon area
April 9, 2019

My lifer bird for the day, a Five-striped Sparrow. In past years, it has been
thought that these sparrows were only found in summer in Arizona, but
this spring birders have been finding them in Box Canyon, near
Madera Canyon. So I went to check it out and found several.

It is good to see more hummingbirds. Here's a male Calliope at my camp site.
