Owl, Nebula, and Gull
December 26, 2016
This region of the sky is between the constellations
Monoceros and Gemini. The Cone Nebula is in the lower center, the Fox Fur
Nebula to the left of the Cone, the Christmas Tree cluster of stars within the
nebula region, and in the upper right, the famous Hubble's Variable Nebula,
NGC 2261. The dark areas are clouds of interstellar dust.

quite rare inland.
