Witch Head Nebula
December 24, 2016
The Witch Head Nebula is an
extremely faint reflection nebula believed to be an ancient supernova remnant or
gas cloud illuminated
by nearby super giant star Rigel in the constellation Orion. Rigel is the bright
star in the lower center. This nebula will take a lot more
exposure, tonight I got about an hour before the dew started to cover the camera
lens. Canon 7D MII, Zeiss 135mm f2 Sonar, f2.8 @ ISO
800, 58 one minute exposures stacked and processed in Images Plus and Photoshop
CS4.
