The day after Jeff Palmer and Dave Swanson reported a
Cassin's Vireo in Hell Canyon, I saw this one at the spring.
It is a brightly colored bird, but not much contrast at the throat and side of head. The lores
are much darker than the head (See http://creagrus.home.montereybay.com/sovi-id-comm.html).
Cassin's Vireo, view from below. It only foraged in Ponderosa pine while I watched it.
