Butterflies and Other Things I've Photographed Recently


Two-tailed Swallowtail in the Slim Buttes, very common here.

I believe this is a Coronis Fritillary, in the Slim Buttes.

Western Pine Elfin, Annie Creek, Black Hills

This is a species I've long wanted to photograph, Strecker's Giant Skipper. I found them fairly common at McNenny GPA west of Spearfish.

Oreohelix cooperi, a pulmonate land snail endemic to the Black Hills.
