Some Astro Photos from the Slim Buttes. Here I have the darkest skies one can find in North America!

The Ring Nebula in Lyra. I've done this before, but I needed something to shoot while waiting for other targets to come over the top of the trees.

The Cygnus Wall  in the constellation Cygnus. I started working on this one while in Pierre, I am going to be adding more data as I can. I think with 2 or 3 hours of exposure, this will look pretty amazing.

My first try at the Cocoon Nebula in the constellation Cygnus.
The nebula is about 4,000 light years away, and the central star that lights it formed about 100,000 years ago. The nebula is about 12 arc minutes across when viewed from Earth, which is equivalent to a span of 15 light years.

One of my favorites, the Iris Nebula. I will be adding more data to this too. So far I have about an hour of exposure.
