Photos from the trip to Missouri
One of two Yellow-crowned Night-Herons at El Dorado Springs, KS. I had no photos
of this species before.
Hard to believe but this is a lifer for me. Tufted Titmouse. I need to bird east
more often! I have the Black-crested Titmouse from Texas, which was once lumped
with the Tufted Titmouse.
I have now photographed all of the titmice species in North America.
Lifer, Prothonotary Warbler!
Lifer, Prothonotary Warbler!
Lifer butterfly, Spicebush Swallowtail
This Black Vulture decided to use dad and mom's car for a perch.
I've heard that in Florida they will cause damage by chewing on wiper blades and
other soft materials, but no damage was done here.
Susan and I were walking a trail when she spotted this Pileated Woodpecker on a
downed
log at close range. Wish it would have stayed put longer.
Lifer, Acadian Flycatcher!
