Eastern Bluebird feeding a hairy caterpillar to young.
An inquisitive House Wren at the bluebird nest area.
The Pacman Nebula. I've done this before but could never get this kind of
detail. I attribute that to the conditions last night, which were about perfect.
This is a faint nebula in Cassiopeia, about 9000 light years away.
The Filamentary Nebula. I've only done this in shorter focal length. There is
another part to this nebula called the Veil Nebula, but it is really one big
nebula (too big to get the whole thing at 500mm), the remnants of a supernova.
At 500mm in excellent conditions, the detail really comes out. I might have to
try a mosaic of this region at 500mm.
A new one, the Omega Nebula. Located near the Eagle Nebula in the constellation
Sagittarius, this is a large and bright nebula. Estimated at 40 light
years in diameter, our entire solar system would be smaller than a pixel in this
image.
I took more images of the Elephant Trunk Nebula and IC 1396. This is likely the
final image I will do of this nebula.
